My name is Oscar oberg, I am an Actor and Director from Stockholm, Sweden currently residing in Tacoma, Washington. I care a lot about specificness in my work and about portraying characters with absolute sincerity and believability. I believe that the job of the actor is to portray the truth - the character's truth - and this is my work goal whenever I am on stage or on screen. When I work with directing it is really important for me to get all the aspects of the story right; the costumes, the staging, working with the actors and getting the most specific interesting and believable performance; allowing a very versatile and compelling performance for the audience. My most recent credits of work includes as Cole in Smurder he typo’d, a comedic theater who dunnit piece set in a mansion, in 2025. Rod in the friends we’ve made, a musical cabaret in 2024. And the character of Lord in Macbeth back in 2020. My most recent credits as a director is Fool for love, a dark comedy set in the Mojave desert in 2024. I directed American Buffalo, a heist play set in a shop, in 2023. And my next upcoming work is to assistant direct 33 variations by Moisés Kaufman in the theater department at Pacific Lutheran University, in Spring 2026. I am most passionate about both theater and film, telling scary or horror stories. Some of my favorite plays are Macbeth, The Crucible and Arsenic and old lace(the halloween play of all halloween plays). I am a big long time horror movie fan, and would be interested in doing that sort of work. I am also interested in doing work in comedy, both in theater and film. I have lots of qualities for that area, and would be excellent for that type of work.
